Mikeela Pittman Woods

I entered the education field in 2006 after working in the Credit Analysis department for a national bank. I have served as a 4th grade teacher, campus instructional specialist, summer school administrator and currently work as a district educational diagnostician. Professional highlights include district special education equity team member, district curriculum writer, district professional development presenter, educational diagnostician mentor and campus instructional data quality team member.

 

Degrees obtained include Doctor of Education with a Specialization in Leadership and Innovation, Masters of Education in Educational Diagnostician, Masters of Education in School Counseling, Masters of Business Administration with a focus in Educational Leadership, and Bachelors of Science in Finance.

 

I have received extensive training and presented professional developments to teachers and administrators in the areas of differentiating instruction, working with exceptional students, curriculum development and design, classroom management, building cultural competence and awareness, and fostering student-teacher relationships to increase student achievement.

 

Through my years in education, I have developed a special interest in supporting various aspects of special education. Specifically, expanding learning opportunities and growth for assessment personal with a goal of ensuring students receiving special education services have appropriate supports to reach their full potential.
